What we put right

A surprising number of leaks blamed on the roof tiles actually start at the chimney. Water gets in through failed flashing, open mortar joints, a cracked crown or porous brickwork, then tracks down inside the structure and shows up as a damp patch some distance away. We trace leaks back to their genuine source rather than patching the symptom, which is often a combination of fresh lead work and flashing and repointing rather than anything to do with the surrounding tiles.
